Thomas Sankara quote

Burkinabe President Thomas Sankara’s quote “We must dare to invent the future” is often seen as one of the most profound statements he made. The quote implies that Burkina Faso and the rest of Africa should not be afraid to create new ways of doing things, or to try new and innovative ideas.

Sankara suggests that the future is not set in stone and that we have the power to shape it through our actions in the present. He entreated his people to be bold, take calculated risks and be creative. That way, Africans would be able to create a better future for themselves and for others.

He was a revolutionary who became Burkina Faso’s president from 1983-1987. Sankara was a strong Pan-Africanist and a supporter of Marxism. He was known for his bold and visionary ideas. During his presidency, he encouraged his government to think outside the box.

The pan-Africanist suggests that we should not be limited by the past or present, but should instead strive to create something new and better for the future.
