A disc dating back to the 2nd century BC was discovered in a temple at Ai Khanum, located in northern Afghanistan. The plate features depictions of the Anatolian goddess Cybele in the company of the Greek goddess Nike. The two deities are in a chariot that is pulled by two lions through a mountainous landscape towards an altar. Also in the background is a depiction of the sun god. The disc of Cybele is currently on display at the Museé Guimet in Paris in France.
