Construction of the RMS Titanic

The RMS Titanic was constructed by the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The ship’s construction began on March 31, 1909, and was completed on May 31, 1911. The ship’s design and construction were overseen by the shipyard’s managing director, Lord William Pirrie, and the company’s chief naval architect, Thomas Andrews.
