The Amazon depicted in the Attic vase is shown wearing Scythian attire, which was common in depictions of Amazons. The Scythians were a nomadic people who lived in the area around the Black Sea and were known for their horseback riding skills and their use of bows and arrows. The Amazons were often associated with the Scythians in ancient Greek and Roman literature and art, and were sometimes depicted as Scythian warriors themselves. The vase is currently part of the Staatliche Antikensammlungen collection in Munich, Germany.
